S, M or L: how big each request is

As with a play's wardrobe, every piece has its size. The size tells you how many design days it needs, so you always know when it will arrive and how much fits in your plan.

L Big projects, clear rules

L projects add the most value and take the most time. These rules protect your project and those of our other clients.

  1. Fixed scope before we start

We agree in writing on the deliverables, the phases and how many proposals are included. Anything outside that is another request.

  2. One at a time

Lead allows one active L project; Grand premiere, up to two. While it runs, it takes one of your active requests.

  3. In phases, with sign-off

We present two concept proposals. Once a phase is approved, going back or changing direction is a new request.

  4. Minimum quarterly commitment

To start an L project, the subscription must be quarterly or yearly. One month isn't enough to do it well.

  5. If you cancel midway

We deliver everything approved up to that point. Final and editable files come when the project is complete.

  6. Over 30 days, it gets split

If a project goes over 30 design days, we split it into several L projects or quote it separately.

What looks like an S is sometimes an L

Before starting, we review every request. If a complex task arrives looking simple, we tell you, give it its real size and split it into parts.

Each part is a separate request: it enters your queue in order and takes up capacity like any other. That way your plan reflects what you actually ask for.

S? what was askedL its real sizeMS the parts, in your queue

Example: the request “a quick logo for the new brand” arrives as if it were an S. On review it's a full brand identity, a 21-day L, split into six requests that enter the queue one by one.

How we measure

  1. The size is agreed at the start

Before working on a request we tell you its size. If you disagree, we adjust it with you.

  2. If it grows, we'll tell you

If a request turns out bigger than expected, we talk before continuing and, if needed, split it into parts.

  3. Revisions don't change the size

You can ask for as many tweaks as you like on the same piece. If the idea changes completely, it's a new request.

  4. They're design days

We count working days spent on your piece, not calendar days. L projects are delivered in parts.
